Senior Python Engineer

Location: Remote within Latin America

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing backend services with Python.
• Build microservice-based applications supporting global content distribution workflows.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs across internal enterprise systems.
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and improve production backend performance while contributing to frontend functionality as needed.
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering organization through code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile planning.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience focused primarily on Python backend development.
• Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Hands-on AWS experience with ECS, S3, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, and securely consuming REST APIs.
• JavaScript proficiency and practical experience with modern frontend frameworks.
• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with distributed global teams.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with React.
• Experience in media, publishing, content distribution, or marketplace platforms.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and cloud-native development environments.
• Previous experience on short-term or high-urgency delivery projects.
