Technical Program Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Lead complex, multi-team technical programmes from planning through delivery.
• Translate ambiguous goals into clear plans, priorities, commitments, and measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate engineering and cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and resolve blockers.
• Identify delivery risks, create mitigation plans, and protect timelines and quality as priorities change.
• Improve delivery efficiency by streamlining workflows, tooling, resource allocation, and collaboration practices.
• Communicate programme status, risks, scope, and resource decisions while leading retrospectives and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading complex, multi-team software or technology programmes in fast-paced or early-stage environments.
• Technical understanding of modern software, machine learning, and robotics stacks.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, risk management, dependency management, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence without formal authority, navigate ambiguity, and align teams around shared goals.
• Product-minded approach with a focus on impact, outcomes, and the people programmes serve.
• Ideally, 8+ years of experience specifically as a Technical Program Manager.

Nice to have

• Engineering or computer science degree, or previous engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency with Jira or similar tooling.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, perception, vehicle hardware, embedded software, machine learning, simulation, evaluation, or other safety-critical and compute-heavy domains.

Hiring process

• 30-minute initial recruiter call.
• Competency interviews covering the TPM process and cross-functional work, lasting 1 hour 45 minutes in total.
• One hour of deep-dive technical interviews focused on programme design, followed by a 30-minute final mission and values interview.
