Fleet Operations Manager (AI/Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid working with in-person collaboration, remote work, and hands-on work in vehicle workshops and labs. The role supports travel, roadshows, out-of-area deployments, and occasional evening or weekend on-call responsibilities.

What you will do

• Lead the operational delivery of customer-focused Feature Testing and on-road testing activities in the assigned geography.
• Coordinate customer testing requirements from planning through execution, ensuring people, vehicles, operators, and technical support are ready.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Feature Testing Vehicle Safety Operators.
• Act as the operational bridge between Feature Testing, Remote Operations, Fleet Operations, Customer Program Managers, Technical Operations, and Field Engineering.
• Support remote testing, roadshows, and out-of-area deployments while resolving operational issues and escalating risks.
• Improve operational efficiency, standardisation, safety, quality, and customer delivery.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex operational teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery across technical and operational groups.
• Strong people management, coaching, operational planning, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience working in safety-critical or operationally complex environments.
• Willingness to travel to support customer programmes and operational deployments.
• The position follows a Monday-to-Friday schedule and includes occasional on-call responsibilities for a team operating seven days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or mobility.
• Experience supporting OEM or customer programmes.
• Experience leading remote or distributed operations.
• Experience with Feature Testing, validation, or release testing.

Hiring process

• Competency interviews lasting approximately two hours in total, followed by deep-dive technical interviews lasting approximately two hours.
