System Application Support Engineer

Salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for commercial and proprietary enterprise applications.
• Monitor application health, performance, availability, infrastructure resources, and file transfer services.
• Investigate production incidents, service interruptions, application errors, and recurring issues through root cause analysis.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, deploy, and maintain applications and supporting environments.
• Support Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, certificates, authentication services, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
• Coordinate with business users, development, infrastructure, networking, and vendor teams while improving automation, documentation, and operational resilience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in application support, production support, systems administration, or a related technical support role.
• Knowledge of SQL and database querying, log analysis, monitoring tools, data communication, and secure data exchange.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Active Directory accounts, permissions, security groups, and service accounts.
• Basic scripting and automation experience with Python, Java, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with IT Service Management tools, incident management, production environments, API integrations, file transfers, middleware, cloud technologies, or SaaS application support.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, MFT configuration, authentication methods, access management, and security best practices.
