Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Claremont, North Carolina, United States; onsite manufacturing plant role

Salary: Starting at $30/hour, with higher pay based on experience

What you will do

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production requests to reduce downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment failures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and P&IDs.
• Document maintenance work and parts used in SAP.
• Follow PPE, ISO 14001 EMS, housekeeping, and plant safety requirements while performing physical maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience, or equivalent military training.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics and use precision maintenance or diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally move loads up to 100 lbs.; comfort with heights, ladders, confined areas, and standing or walking for 10–12 hours.
• Willingness to work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, overtime, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.

Nice to have

• Multi-craft experience in welding, millwright work, pipefitting, or lubrication.
• NCDOL Journeyman Apprentice certification at Level I or II.
• Experience with 24V, 120V, 240V, or 480V three-phase systems.
• Maintenance experience in a fiber optics cabling organization.
