Senior Legal Counsel (Compliance)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; hybrid work pattern

Salary: CAD 108,300–239,400 yearly

What you will do

• Manage SAP Canada's compliance landscape across Quebec, including bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, fraud, and applicable local regulations.
• Oversee public contract governance frameworks and compliance with Quebec procurement requirements.
• Deliver targeted compliance training to employees across North America.
• Advise employees and stakeholders on the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related policy questions.
• Support compliance in third-party relationships and collaborate with Legal and Government Affairs on Quebec regulatory requirements.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, manage inquiries and complaints, report compliance issues, and drive regional adoption of global initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a legal professional working with compliance and governance matters.
• Expertise in Quebec procurement laws, including LCOP, LCOM, and lobbying regulations.
• Experience detecting and preventing fraud and corruption and documenting compliance processes.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical training for diverse teams.
• Bilingual legal professional with functional English proficiency required for positions based in Quebec.
• Experience working in international, virtual environments and leading compliance projects.
