Director, Corporate Communications

Location: New York City; hybrid role requiring work from the NYC office 3 days per week

Salary: $203,500–$327,750 USD cash compensation

What you will do

• Own the company’s internal and external communications strategy and operating priorities.
• Develop consistent narratives for consumer and B2B audiences and advise executive leadership on media, speaking, investor-facing, and thought leadership engagements.
• Build relationships with technology, business, consumer, and vertical press while driving proactive story placement and managing inbound opportunities.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, briefings, contributed articles, internal announcements, and leadership communications.
• Lead reactive and crisis communications, support product and marketing launches, and translate technical information into clear narratives.
• Manage internal communications channels, All Hands meetings, agency and vendor relationships, and communications performance reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of communications experience, including meaningful in-house experience at a technology company.
• Experience independently owning a communications function, ideally in a high-growth company.
• Experience communicating with both consumer and B2B audiences and established relationships across relevant media.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and business topics clearly.
• Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership programs.
• Strong judgment, calm decision-making under pressure, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
