Clinical Account Consultant Pharmacy Medicare Formulary Strategy

Location: Chicago, Illinois; hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office and two days working from home

Base pay: $102,000–$184,300 annually. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and execute Medicare Part D formulary strategy in alignment with CMS requirements and organizational goals.
• Ensure health plan formularies comply with Medicare Part D regulatory requirements.
• Analyze pharmacy and clinical data, develop reports, and translate findings into recommendations.
• Prepare presentations and communicate recommendations to external business leaders and large audiences.
• Collaborate across the organization on problem resolution, negotiation, consensus building, conflict management, and decision-making.
• Manage projects related to formulary development, maintenance, and strategy.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist.
• Four years of managed care pharmacy experience or four years of pharmacy benefits consulting experience; a managed care pharmacy residency may substitute for the managed care pharmacy experience requirement.
• Knowledge of pharmacy benefits products, services, concepts, and Medicare Part D requirements.
• Analytical, communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and clinical or business databases.
• Ability to work in the Chicago office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D. or managed care pharmacy residency.
• Two or more years of Medicare Part D experience.
• Experience with pharmacy claims systems, formulary development and strategy, technical writing, or policy development.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft platform functionality.
