Data Scientist, Marketing Analytics

Location: Hybrid in Denver, Colorado, with 3 days in the office each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; candidates must live in the United States.

Base salary: $110,000–$130,000 annually, plus variable compensation and equity.

What you will do

• Build, retrain, tune, and operate uplift models that personalize weekly retention bonuses while balancing incremental redemptions and cost.
• Maintain feature pipelines, deploy model versions, and monitor production performance and drift.
• Manage weekly model operations, including reviewing results, adjusting parameters, and maintaining budget and performance thresholds.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and holdouts to measure bonus performance and generate training data.
• Analyze large event-level saver datasets and collaborate with analytics engineers, data engineers, and Marketing partners to prepare modeling data.
• Communicate model performance, business impact, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders while contributing to documentation, code reviews, and reusable workflows.

Requirements

• 2+ years of progressive experience in data science, machine learning, statistics, data analysis, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a similar discipline.
• Strong Python skills, including pandas and scikit-learn, and strong SQL skills.
• Experience building and evaluating machine learning and statistical models, including gradient boosting or neural networks.
• Working knowledge of experimentation and causal inference, plus experience deploying or maintaining at least one production model.
• Must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Spark or PySpark experience.
• Experience with uplift or heterogeneous treatment effect modeling.
• Experience with Airflow or Databricks Jobs, model monitoring, and drift detection.
• Experience with marketing incentives, promotions, loyalty, retention programs, or models balancing volume and cost.
• Experience using AI coding assistants and reviewing, testing, and debugging generated code.
