Credit Solutions Advisor (SBA 504)

What you will do

• Review referred opportunities for SBA 504 product fit, eligibility considerations, borrower contribution, collateral structure, project costs, and owner occupancy.
• Route opportunities to Relationship Managers, SBA Product Specialists, Credit, Underwriting, Operations, and other appropriate partners.
• Provide technical guidance and training on SBA programs, referral triggers, documentation, workflows, and process responsibilities.
• Coordinate transaction information, approval conditions, documentation, CDC engagement, timing, and escalation of stalled items.
• Monitor intake, handoffs, quality reviews, reporting, governance actions, and recurring process issues.
• Maintain working relationships with Certified Development Companies and cross-functional banking partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in lending, credit analysis, underwriting support, portfolio management, or loan operations within SBA, Business Banking, or Commercial Banking.
• Knowledge of SBA 504 and SBA 7(a) structures, eligibility concepts, and transaction requirements.
• Experience with commercial credit transactions, commercial real estate, fixed-asset financing, loan closing, or loan administration.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, facilitation, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, follow controls, identify information gaps, and escalate issues appropriately.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with SBA 504 transactions and Certified Development Companies.
• Experience with renovation or construction lending, project financing, or multi-party loan structures.
• Experience developing training materials, job aids, procedures, workflow documentation, or management reporting.
• Experience in process improvement, quality assurance, change management, or control implementation.
