Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Dubuque, Iowa, USA; headquarters-based role

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that reduce material acquisition costs, improve revenue and gross margin, and reduce supply chain risk.
• Manage supplier performance, expectations, corrective actions, contracts, and supplier development initiatives.
• Lead sourcing activities for new product innovation, value analysis, value engineering, and preferred supplier programs.
• Identify and qualify suppliers for new, existing, and end-of-life products.
• Build RFx processes, benchmarking analyses, and supplier risk reports covering financial, capacity, quality, and compliance factors.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, procurement, and other stakeholders on supplier qualification and transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, operations, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or a related environment.
• Knowledge of supplier contracts, product conformity, quality tools, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and procurement tools, with the ability to assess, negotiate, and manage suppliers.
• Strong collaboration, facilitation, conflict resolution, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work at the Dubuque, Iowa headquarters in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Oracle, JDE, or other business intelligence, ERP, and supplier relationship software.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and advanced Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Spanish language skills.
