Seal Repair Group Lead (Mechanical Seals)

What you will do

• Own mechanical seal repair activities from inspection and disassembly through evaluation, repair, assembly, testing, and documentation.
• Evaluate returned equipment and components, determine repair feasibility, and recommend repair actions.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, bills of materials, work orders, and other technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and repair processes while verifying components with precision measuring instruments.
• Mentor repair personnel, provide technical guidance, and support training and workflow productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and customers to resolve technical questions and recommendations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of mechanical seals or comparable equipment experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, power, or upstream markets, plus 6 months to 1 year of on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and interpret simple written, oral, and diagram-based instructions and technical documentation.
• Ability to communicate information with customers, clients, and employees in individual and small-group settings.
• English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension required.
• Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, use hand and mechanical tools, and work safely in shop or warehouse areas.
