TL;DR
Assembly Supervisor (USV Manufacturing): Producing and assembling unmanned surface vessels across harnesses, hull systems, decks, final vessel assembly, and testing with an accent on safety, quality, delivery, and lean manufacturing. Focus on supervising floor production, conducting in-process inspections, maintaining vessel equipment, and improving manufacturing processes and new product prototypes.

Location: Blue Ops, Valdosta, Georgia, United States; onsite production role

What you will do

  • Lead a hands-on production team on the manufacturing floor while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Plan and prepare daily manufacturing activities for harness assembly and installation, hull systems, deck assembly, final vessel assembly, and testing.
  • Manage material handling, chemical storage, PPE, tools, equipment, and vessel-system testing systems.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and visual inspections of subassemblies, harnesses, vessels, and finished products.
  • Complete in-station process control documentation and report discrepancies, malfunctions, and quality issues.
  • Lead safety, process-improvement, design-review, prototyping, and team-meeting activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a manufacturing supervisor, team leader, or manager.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and assembly diagrams.
  • Knowledge of OSHA practices, manufacturing management, and lean manufacturing.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and computer skills, including Microsoft solutions and ERP systems.
  • Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence for ITAR/EAR-controlled work and must not require sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • 5–10+ years of boat manufacturing or similar manufacturing experience.
  • Boat-building experience and familiarity with premium composite production.
