Lead Installation Technician (Commercial Equipment)

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States of America. Onsite work at office and customer facilities, with travel up to 50%.

What you will do

• Manage installation opportunities, forecasts, schedules, completion dates, and pricing updates in CRM.
• Conduct site surveys, assess installation feasibility, prepare scopes of work, and produce customer-facing quotes.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and branch personnel to schedule installations and meet customer promise dates.
• Execute commercial equipment installations through successful startup while following installation procedures and safety programs.
• Lead installation crews, communicate progress to customers, and resolve field issues and conflicts.
• Maintain vehicles, material-handling equipment, tools, and current knowledge of products, services, and installation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of formal technical training and at least ten years of related experience.
• Experience with equipment installation or similar work.
• Ability to read service and installation manuals, mechanical diagrams, and safety guidelines.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and basic mathematics.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, operate vehicles or heavy equipment, and work in confined, noisy, hot, cold, wet, or slippery environments.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of commercial equipment installation experience.
• Mechanical or electrical experience.
• Experience installing or removing commercial cooking or refrigeration equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and industry certification.
• Associate degree.
