Detection Engineer (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Advance automation across build, release, and deployment processes to improve delivery reliability and consistency.
• Design and optimize resilient, cost-effective cloud environments and Kubernetes workloads.
• Improve observability, troubleshoot complex cloud issues, and optimize performance and cloud spend.
• Strengthen production readiness, deployment practices, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Maintain DevOps code, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management practices.
• Provide technical direction to DevOps engineers and collaborate with project managers, business sponsors, and senior leaders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong expertise with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure and application troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience providing technical leadership, making independent decisions, solving complex problems, and influencing multiple stakeholders.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps and observability tools such as Argo CD, Grafana, and Jaeger.
• Knowledge of networking technologies including firewalls, proxies, and package repositories.
• Scripting or software development experience with Java, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
• Experience integrating systems with JSON, REST, or XML.
• Familiarity with Docker, OpenShift, GitHub, GitLab, Artifactory, CloudFormation, Chef, or Ansible.
