Senior DevOps & Security Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Build, operate, secure, and improve AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Translate security and compliance requirements into technical controls supporting HIPAA, SOC 2, and related activities.
• Develop Terraform configurations, secure CI/CD pipelines, deployment tooling, and infrastructure automation.
• Manage IAM, networking, databases, storage, logging, monitoring, SIEM integrations, vulnerability scanning, and security telemetry.
• Support incident response, application and infrastructure hardening, disaster recovery, and production reliability.
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to build scripts, integrations, internal tools, APIs, documentation, and architecture standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, vulnerability management, observability, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls in regulated environments such as HIPAA or SOC 2.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, secure CI/CD pipelines, and SentinelOne or a similar EDR platform.
• Ability to write Python or Bash scripts and work with APIs, integrations, and security automation.
• Strong technical writing, communication, independent problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, healthtech, financial services, or another highly regulated sector.
• Familiarity with Datadog, SentinelOne, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, or Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with SIEM setup, detection engineering, penetration testing remediation, disaster recovery planning, or backup restoration testing.
