Principal, Contracts (Defense)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; onsite. The schedule is 9/80, with every other Friday off.

What you will do

• Lead contractual, business, and risk-mitigation strategy for the Next Generation Jammer program.
• Administer complex moderate- to large-scale contracts and monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations.
• Review solicitations, support proposal development, and serve as the primary contractual interface with customers.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, technical requirements, scope, and conditions with customers.
• Manage contract changes, change orders, supplemental agreements, price redeterminations, and contract control throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare management and customer reports while developing contract administration policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 10 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 16 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, Federal Acquisition Regulation, DFARS, and other agency regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and finalize complex contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and stakeholder-influence skills.
• Ability to obtain a US Department of Defense Secret Clearance; security clearances may only be granted to US citizens.

Nice to have

• Advanced education in the discipline or an MBA.
• NCMA professional certification such as CPCM or CFCM.
• Active Top Secret or Secret security clearance.
