Branch Manager (Electrical Distribution)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; on-site

Salary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and other permitted considerations.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, motivate, and train branch personnel while addressing performance and personnel issues.
• Manage branch profitability, P&L, sales, net income, assets, expense budgets, and annual operating plans.
• Develop sales and operational initiatives, support customer digital adoption, and build relationships with customers, vendors, and internal partners.
• Oversee inventory control, warehouse operations, equipment, facilities, security, and safety inspections.
• Maintain current knowledge of markets, customers, vendors, and competitors while delivering strong customer service.
• Make deliveries when required and support counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in sales, operations, electrical distribution, or a similar B2B industry.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a four-year or bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience with inventory control, warehouse operations, sales strategy, team coaching, Microsoft Office, and an ERP system such as Solar Eclipse.
• Strong leadership, customer service, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• If deliveries are required: valid driver's license, minimum age of 21, acceptable motor vehicle record, required medical certification, and no specified recent license suspension or at-fault accidents.

Nice to have

• Certification to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to manage P&Ls.
