Commercial and Retail Distribution Supervisor

Annual base pay: $71,000–$131,800 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily distribution and logistics operations, including shipping execution, workforce planning, carrier coordination, order prioritization, and outbound performance.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop logistics employees while managing performance, accountability, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
• Coordinate priorities and resources with Production, Planning, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, shipping, employee performance, and customer service metrics; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize warehouse layouts, inventory flow, storage locations, space utilization, and distribution capabilities.
• Drive Lean-based improvements in logistics processes, warehouse organization, material flow, productivity, accuracy, service levels, and throughput.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience supervising distribution, warehouse, logistics, shipping, or supply chain activities, including non-exempt employees.
• Experience leading logistics or distribution operations in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fulfillment environment.
• Experience coaching and developing teams, coordinating cross-functional priorities, and driving accountability and performance.
• Experience with Lean, 5S/6S, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods; Operational Excellence certification is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, scanners, and distribution technology; SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Ability to maintain and certify employees on forklifts, reach trucks, lifts, and related equipment under OSHA standards, lift up to 50 pounds, and work extended hours, nights, or weekends when required.
