Cloud Services Engineer (Azure): Designing and delivering secure, scalable Azure infrastructure and cloud-native solutions for critical government missions with an accent on DevSecOps, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and federal compliance. Focus on leading cloud transformation and migration projects, architecting high-availability environments, automating deployments, and translating customer requirements into secure technical solutions.
Location: Washington, D.C. or Lakewood/Denver, CO; daily onsite work required

What you will do
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Define cloud architectures, migration strategies, technical roadmaps, and security protocols with stakeholders.
- Architect cloud-native and DevSecOps solutions using automation, monitoring, CI/CD, microservices, and containers.
- Design and optimize Kubernetes environments, including self-hosted clusters and managed services such as AKS, EKS, and GKE.
- Lead infrastructure automation with Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates, PowerShell, and related tools.
- Guide cloud engineering teams, support high availability and disaster recovery, and translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance required; interim Top Secret or Secret clearance may be accepted.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of cloud architecture experience, including hands-on Azure expertise.
- Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of cloud security, network architecture, identity management, and compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST.
- Customer-facing communication, problem-solving, leadership, scripting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, cloud-native development, Azure Monitor, cost optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience in government or federal environments.
