Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate production infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and manage Azure Kubernetes Service clusters at scale.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Develop CI/CD workflows for infrastructure and applications with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Create automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Implement cloud security, monitoring, alerting, observability, and compliance practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 3 years with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
• Production experience with infrastructure as code and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Strong scripting, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost-management tooling.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments.
