Automation Engineer (Laboratory Automation)

Salary: $95,800–$110,000 per year, plus additional compensation and benefits.

hirify.global is a molecular diagnostics company focused on cell-free DNA testing across oncology, women’s health, and organ health. The role supports the Foresight Diagnostics business unit and its clinical laboratory automation work.

What you will do

• Program liquid-handling robots for clinical laboratory sample-processing workflows.
• Conceptualize, design, develop, and implement automation systems and related software tools.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, end users, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare user requirements, testing procedures, standard operating procedures, and equipment-validation documentation.
• Oversee functional and validation testing, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
• Train users, troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and provide ongoing support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related scientific field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of laboratory automation engineering experience.
• Experience developing and integrating automation systems for the life sciences, especially robotics and liquid-handling systems.
• Computer programming experience.
• Strong project management, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Boulder, Colorado.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, laboratory automation providers, or clinical laboratories.
