Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Facility Utilities Manager (MEP)

Location: Full-time on-site at an hirify.global-designated worksite in Universal City, California, United States

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee daily mechanical, electrical, and plumbing operations across studio facilities and production environments.
• Maintain reliable and efficient HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and building automation systems.
• Enforce safety, environmental, fire protection, boiler, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, work requests, operational schedules, repairs, and after-hours incident response.
• Manage vendors, contractors, procurement activities, budgets, estimates, contracts, and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain asset records and operational documentation while supporting infrastructure planning, training, sustainability, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in facility maintenance operations and managing union personnel.
• At least 2 years of experience in work planning and analysis, cost-effective business practices, and data analytics and verification.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, communication, accountability, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, cooling systems, utilities, electrical systems, and building automation.
• Must work full-time on-site at an hirify.global-designated worksite.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in facilities or complex facility operations.
• Experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems, work planning, scheduling, and materials management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, Tridium, and other Building or Energy Management Systems.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety practices, environmental compliance, energy efficiency, accessibility, fire suppression, and emergency preparedness.
• BOMA or LEED designation and experience managing in a union environment.
