Data Solutions Architect (Snowflake)

Location: London. Travel may be required for client engagements, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and internal team events.

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, architecture, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Design modern data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouse platforms, semantic layers, dimensional models, master data strategies, and analytics ecosystems.
• Architect Snowflake-based cloud data platforms, including security, performance, workload management, cost governance, replication, data sharing, and disaster recovery.
• Define scalable batch, real-time, event-driven, API, orchestration, and ELT/ETL integration patterns.
• Establish standards for dbt, DataOps, testing, documentation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and automated deployment.
• Lead technical workstreams, mentor engineers, prepare estimates and proposals, and conduct client presentations, executive briefings, architecture reviews, and workshops.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Leadership experience across multiple projects and teams, including mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions.
• Advanced experience with Snowflake and cloud data platforms, plus strong knowledge of Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in data architecture, dimensional modelling, semantic layers, master data, governance, ELT/ETL, real-time processing, APIs, and orchestration.
• Advanced experience with dbt and modern data stack architectures, including DataOps, testing, governance, documentation, and deployment standards.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python and SQL, plus experience with CI/CD, automated deployment, and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.

Nice to have

• Experience with BigQuery, Databricks, Synapse, Redshift, Fivetran, Workato, Boomi, Airbyte, or similar platforms.
• Experience in pre-sales, solution estimation, technical proposal development, and client-facing consulting.
