Systems Engineer (Media Technology)

Location: Full-time onsite at the hirify.global designated work site in Washington, D.C.; early morning shift typically starting around 4 a.m.

Salary: $38–$48 per hour

What you will do

• Gather requirements, plan, and implement technical and workflow solutions for news, production, and creative services partners.
• Administer media production applications, systems, and infrastructure in mission-critical environments.
• Support SDI, NDI, ST-2110, encoding, live production, news gathering, media asset management, and transmission systems.
• Provide technical support, incident response, troubleshooting, and customer communication.
• Develop system documentation and maintain compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Support complex technology projects and work outside standard hours or on weekends when required.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television and film, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting mid- to major-market news or live event production operations and 24/7 mission-critical technology facilities.
• Expertise in media technology, including SDI, NDI, ST-2110, contribution and distribution encoding, live production systems, NRCS, NLE, media asset management, and transmission systems.
• Expertise in physical, virtualized, and cloud compute and storage, networking, domain and identity management.
• Must work onsite in Washington, D.C. and hold unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel, work an early morning schedule, and work outside standard hours or on weekends with short notice.
