Senior Frontend Engineer (React/Next.js)

Location: Bogota, Colombia; 100% remote

What you will do

• Design and build a modern headless front-end architecture for a high-traffic global news platform.
• Deliver major front-end releases against an accelerated launch schedule.
• Define standards for code quality, component design, testing, and code reviews.
• Own Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, CDN usage, caching, and asset optimization.
• Integrate headless CMS solutions with in-house backend APIs.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and shape architecture with engineering leadership while refining AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior-level front-end experience on production systems.
• Strong production experience with React and Next.js, including SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.
• Fluent TypeScript with a focus on clean, type-safe code.
• Experience connecting front-ends to headless CMS platforms and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching, and asset optimization.
• Professional English required for daily work with a U.S. team. Daily use of AI coding tools and agentic workflows is expected.
