TL;DR
Senior Technical Product Manager (AI/Digital Pathology): Driving tactical execution of AI-powered digital pathology algorithm products, translating product strategy into scientific requirements and supporting development across engineering, data science, clinical, and business teams with an accent on healthcare product delivery and regulated medical technology. Focus on defining user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing requirements, supporting user acceptance testing, and coordinating product releases for digital pathology solutions.

Location: Ontario, Canada; remote work. Occasional travel of 10–20% may be required for conferences and client visits.

Expected compensation: 85–95K annually; final compensation depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

  • Translate product strategy into scientific requirements for AI-powered digital pathology prototypes and production products.
  • Represent customer needs throughout the product lifecycle and collaborate with business, clinical, engineering, data science, and design stakeholders.
  • Author user stories, acceptance criteria, product requirements, and software requirements documentation.
  • Maintain backlog clarity, answer questions from engineering and data science teams, and align prioritization with strategic goals.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing, prepare release notes, and update business owners on delivered features.
  • Monitor the digital pathology market, product portfolio, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, or an equivalent field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical product management within healthcare services or in managing requirements for AI/ML-based computer vision systems.
  • Practical experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Demonstrated product management skills covering prioritization, quality, conflict, and risk management.
  • Canadian work experience is not required.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Sciences, Data Science, Biology, Chemistry, or an equivalent field.
  • Knowledge of digital pathology and related technologies.
  • Experience in Medical Devices, Digital Health, Life Sciences, or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of Health Canada and FDA regulations and guidelines.
