Senior Researcher, Employment & Economic Opportunity Program (Part-Time)

Location: Remote within the United States or from a U.S. office location; U.S. territories are excluded. Availability is required across all continental U.S. time zones and occasionally Central European Time/Central European Summer Time. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available. Certain projects may require specific residency.

Anticipated hourly rate: $62–$67 USD.

What you will do

• Coordinate research, operational, and analytic activities for international large-scale education assessments and surveys, including TIMSS, PISA, and TALIS.
• Manage project operations, timelines, staff assignments, deliverables, budgets, and client relationships.
• Design applied research studies, research questions, methodologies, analytic plans, and data collection tools.
• Lead or oversee qualitative and quantitative data collection, field activities, data analysis, and data quality review.
• Prepare reports, briefs, visualizations, and other materials that communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to research proposals, grants, business pursuits, and collaborative project teams.

Requirements

• PhD in sociology, psychology, anthropology, public policy, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of implementation science and experience with applied research or evaluation organizations.
• Experience with structured interviews, observations, survey research, and qualitative or quantitative analysis.
• Experience using analytic software such as Stata, R, Excel, NVivo, or Access.
• Experience managing research or evaluation teams, developing work plans, maintaining client relationships, and writing proposals.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
