Intern, Global Safety Epidemiology, Infectious Rare Disease

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Full-time summer internship from June 7, 2027 through August 20, 2027, with a 70/30 in-office work model. Candidates must be available for the entire program and hold U.S. work authorization without requiring current or future immigration sponsorship.

Salary: $20.00–$60.00.

What you will do

• Gain experience in epidemiology’s role in pharmacovigilance across the development lifecycle.
• Conduct epidemiologic research to contextualize and evaluate safety signals, potential risks, and special populations.
• Generate and synthesize evidence for vaccine safety monitoring in global markets outside the United States.
• Contribute to cross-functional signal detection, validation, and evaluation workflows.
• Lead and present an epidemiologic project addressing a safety-monitoring topic.
• Collaborate with Clinical Safety, Pharmacovigilance, Real-World Evidence Analytics, Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and Clinical Development.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD or ScD program in Epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in epidemiology and biostatistics.
• Experience with SAS or R.
• Existing U.S. work authorization is required; immigration sponsorship is unavailable.
• Availability for the full June 7–August 20, 2027 internship period is required.
