Cyber Implementation Specialist

Base pay: 91,000–136,400 CAD per year

What you will do

• Lead the implementation of cybersecurity controls and architectures across current and future defence and security programs.
• Translate contractual cybersecurity requirements, CDRLs, DIDs, and Annex F matrices into implementation plans and technical architectures.
• Act as the primary cybersecurity lead for assigned programs and represent the cybersecurity approach in technical reviews, working groups, and customer engagements.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, Digital Services, and Program Management teams to validate cybersecurity tools and deploy secure virtualized environments.
• Support vulnerability management, incident response planning, compliance assessments, and cybersecurity sustainment activities.
• Maintain cybersecurity documentation, reporting, SharePoint content, and Power BI tracking materials.

Requirements

• Current Government of Canada security clearance.
• At least five years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, cybersecurity implementation, or a related cybersecurity function.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, government, or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-171, NIST 800-172, ITSG-33, and Canadian Centre for Cyber Security guidance.
• Experience with VMware, VDI, or similar virtualized environments; network segmentation; and secure cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure Protected B.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. English required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Government of Canada defence programs.
• Familiarity with military simulation, training, or mission-support environments.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity compliance throughout the system lifecycle.
• Experience creating cybersecurity reporting or documentation with SharePoint and Power BI.
• French communication skills.
