QA Manager (AI & Automation)

Location: Lake Oswego, Portland, Oregon, United States; 4 days in office. Travel requirement: 10%.

Salary: $170,600–$234,600 per year. Bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Define and enforce the pod-wide quality strategy while authoring and maintaining test automation.
• Develop testing approaches for embedded AI components, including LLMs, computer vision, speech recognition, and AI agents.
• Evaluate modern AI-driven testing tools and train cross-functional engineering teams in automation techniques.
• Coordinate regression testing, release management, and cloud or virtualization test environments.
• Track quality metrics, identify coverage gaps, and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience leading software quality strategy and managing global teams.
• Hands-on ability to write, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Playwright, C#, Python, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of AI concepts including LLM, NLP, and ML, with experience testing AI components, managing AI agents, and using MCP servers.
• Experience with release management, regression strategy, and virtualization or cloud test environments.
• Strong coaching and communication skills for communicating technical risk across product and engineering stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in global work environments, construction back-office functions, or accounting.
• Experience with performance, security, chatbot, and embedded AI testing.
• Hands-on proficiency with Jira and C#.
