Base pay: Mountain View $271,500–$367,500; New York $243,000–$328,500; San Diego $264,500–$357,500

What you will do

• Lead legal strategy across data innovation, first-party data analytics and product development, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
• Advise product, engineering, marketing, data science, and executive teams on privacy and data protection issues.
• Own legal frameworks for adtech governance, first-party data strategy, data innovation, and privacy-enhancing technologies.
• Manage and develop geographically dispersed privacy professionals in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Create guardrails, playbooks, automated pathways, and AI models that operationalize privacy requirements.
• Represent hirify.global before regulators, industry bodies, and data protection authorities.

Requirements

• Active bar admission and eligibility to practice law in the jurisdiction where the role is located.
• JD from an accredited law school; a background or degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative field is highly valued.
• 10+ years practicing privacy and data protection law, including at least 5 years in a technology or FinTech company.
• Expert knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, GLBA, FTC Act Section 5, FCRA, and applicable state financial and biometric privacy laws.
• Experience advising on adtech privacy, Privacy by Design, data minimization, lawful basis, data agreements, and product development lifecycles.
• Working knowledge of at least two privacy-enhancing technologies and experience analyzing data-driven products and AI/ML systems.

Nice to have

• IAPP certification such as CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP.
• Technical background in computer science or engineering.
• Experience in FinTech or financial services.
