Director, Business Development (Clinical Research)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; preferred location is the West Coast. Overnight business travel of up to 60% is required.

Annualized starting base pay: $145,000 USD.

What you will do

• Identify, qualify, and secure client meetings for target and exploratory accounts.
• Generate requests for proposals and contribute to proposal development.
• Facilitate client presentations, including at client sites when required.
• Secure contract awards against sales targets.
• Support client satisfaction by monitoring and assisting with contract change orders.
• Provide support to project teams as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline; an MBA is preferred.
• At least three years of direct experience in consultative sales, preferably in a CRO or related services industry.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical drug development and/or medical device development processes.
• Preferred location: West Coast of the United States.
• Ability to perform overnight business travel up to 60%.
