Researcher - Figma Design (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States or from Figma hubs in San Francisco, CA, and New York, NY. In-person onboarding is required if hired.

Annual base salary: $169,000–$250,000 USD

What you will do

• Deliver strategic research and recommendations that influence the vision and strategy for Figma Design.
• Partner with product leaders to identify opportunities, develop strategy, and define success.
• Turn complex business challenges into clear research plans and own the end-to-end research process.
• Translate research insights into narratives that shape product roadmap priorities.
• Advocate for research as a strategic business partner across Product, Design, and Engineering.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in UX research or user insights at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
• Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, from opportunity identification and concept testing to feature iteration.
• Experience researching AI-powered features or products exploring AI applications.
• Ability to identify, prioritize, and test assumptions using appropriately scoped research approaches.
• Track record of gaining support from executive stakeholders and cross-disciplinary partners through compelling user stories and recommendations.
• Ability to balance speed, rigor, user research, strategy, business insights, and team input.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of experience in product design, user-centric product management, product development, or front-end engineering.
• Familiarity with and deep experience using Figma products.
