What you will do

• Serve as a security engineering subject matter expert for containerized environments, service meshes, microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls including image scanning, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, endpoint protection, encryption, runtime protection, RBAC, and network segmentation.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows while supporting RMF, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP compliance.
• Configure security monitoring and logging solutions, including Splunk and Prisma Cloud, and investigate anomalies, threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
• Conduct security assessments and continuous monitoring of Kubernetes, OpenShift, microservices, APIs, and other infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, software development, IT, ISSO, and compliance teams; maintain security documentation and incident reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of cybersecurity engineering experience focused on security control implementation, continuous monitoring, and compliance auditing.
• Hands-on experience securing containerized and Kubernetes environments; OpenShift experience is preferred.
• Experience with Splunk, Fortify, Acunetix, Prisma Cloud, network protocols, operating systems, incident response, and forensic analysis.
• Experience implementing security controls for cloud, container, and DevSecOps services in IL5 to IL6+ environments.
• Active TS//SCI clearance with CI poly and CISSP or an equivalent certification are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
