Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite manufacturing support

What you will do

• Lead project planning, communication, scheduling, execution, budget tracking, and progress reviews for manufacturing, capital, and process improvement projects.
• Provide engineering support for plant safety, productivity, scrap reduction, quality improvement, equipment reliability, and new product development.
• Design, evaluate, modify, install, start up, and commission complex mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems.
• Develop technical specifications, solicit bids, coordinate procurement, manage contractors and vendors, and oversee installations.
• Create and maintain drawings, programs, documentation, operating procedures, preventive maintenance plans, and spare-parts requirements.
• Mentor maintenance and operations personnel and participate in technical, task, and problem-solving teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, decision analysis, organization, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Experience with AutoCAD for plant layouts, P&ID drawings, fabrication details, or ability to learn it within 6 months.
• Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, MINITAB, AutoCAD, Mainsaver, Chase, and Rockwell RS software.

Nice to have

• Equipment design experience and experience managing capital projects exceeding $5 million.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, automation controls, drives, PLCs, sensors, motor controls, and facilities systems.
• Experience with statistical process control, design of experiments, FMEA, and MSE.
