Process Engineer

Location: Onsite in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico

What you will do

• Define working sequences for new production processes to meet product cost and equipment investment targets.
• Optimize production methods, cycle times, equipment performance, and materials to support production targets.
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead projects within time, quality, and cost requirements.
• Approve internally and externally developed process designs and perform final project-related tests.
• Support production during process and equipment start-up, including action planning and training for maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluate new process technologies and lead testing, approval criteria, and external provider selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or quality.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills, including FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to resolve conflicts, address employee and management concerns, and achieve collaborative results.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and use computers effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with injection molding or stamping operations.
• Experience with equipment automation.
