Manager, Field Engineering (Data & AI)

Location: Hybrid in Berlin or Munich, Germany

What you will do

• Lead, hire, mentor, and scale a team of Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers in Germany.
• Partner with Sales and pre-sales teams to improve revenue impact and support complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Drive solution- and value-based selling across the field-engineering organization.
• Engage customer executives and build strategic partnerships with key accounts.
• Align partners and internal services on implementation strategies.
• Represent Databricks in regional leadership, marketing, and sales initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience managing successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
• Experience in consumption-based business environments and scaling technical teams.
• Experience establishing processes that improve efficiency and product focus for technical field teams.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales and cross-functional leaders.
• Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, database technologies, or Data Science.
• Native German and fluent English are required.
