Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine (AI)

Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States. Full-time rotating schedule covering 12-hour day, evening, and overnight shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Salary: USD 63–82.28 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct emergency clinical care, including health histories, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up evaluation.
• Prescribe or order medications, therapies, laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures within clinical privileges.
• Coordinate care with collaborating physicians and other healthcare disciplines.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and external groups on conditions, treatment, and advanced practice care.
• Document care in medical records and advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, committees, mentoring, preceptorship, and continuing education programs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Illinois licensure as an APRN or Physician Assistant, with the applicable national certification and clinical privileges.
• Emergency Medicine experience required.
• Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Eligibility to obtain a controlled substance license and DEA number after licensure, where applicable.
• Credentialing through the Medical Staff Office is required.
