Fixed Assets Accountant

Location: US - Burlington, MA; 4+ days per week onsite at the Burlington headquarters

Salary: $66,000-$83,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including additions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and depreciation.
• Review capital expenditures and supporting documentation for proper classification and capitalization under company policy and U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries for fixed assets, depreciation, construction in progress, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other close areas.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items.
• Monitor construction-in-progress balances, coordinate asset placement into service, and support physical inventories and verification activities.
• Prepare rollforwards, depreciation forecasts, audit schedules, financial reporting support, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience, including fixed asset accounting and month-end close responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, capitalization, depreciation, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP and fixed asset systems.
• Ability to analyze financial data, investigate variances, resolve accounting issues independently, and manage multiple close deadlines.
• Ability to work onsite at the Burlington, MA headquarters at least 4 days per week.
