Staff Accountant

Location: Hybrid role based at the Oak Brook, Illinois headquarters office, United States

Salary: $63,000–$78,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting data in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial statements, investigate discrepancies and variances, and resolve reconciling items with other functions.
• Support the month-end close process and prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports.
• Identify process improvements that increase accounting accuracy and efficiency.
• Work with external auditors and contribute to special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 0–2 years of experience; experience with a large ERP solution for at least 1–2 years is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and experience with data analysis tools.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a collaborative environment.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI.
• CPA certification.
