Field Specialist A

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico, United States; field-based work with an 8/6 schedule, rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. Relocation may be considered.

What you will do

• Monitor and optimize production process variables and artificial lift systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain oil and gas production and facility equipment, including plunger lift, rod pumping, flowing wells, and compressors.
• Test wells, acquire fluid-level information, record data, and monitor computer control systems.
• Operate and monitor SCADA and test safety devices.
• Create work orders and support inventory and work planning through a computerized maintenance management system.
• Partner with employees and contractors to maintain equipment reliability, efficiency, and compliance with operational and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of current related experience in oil and gas or a related petrochemical industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to work in the United States; hirify.global does not sponsor employment visas or consider individuals with time-limited visa status.
• Must be able to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on workload.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and collaborate with coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Petroleum Technology, Process Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Five years of current related oil and gas or petrochemical experience.
• Experience with production-equipment troubleshooting, reliability activities, pneumatic or electronic instrumentation, MS Office, CMMS, and SCADA.
