Mechanical Specialist (Gas Pipelines)

Location: Damon, Texas, or Markham/Bay City, Texas; onsite

hirify.global operates energy infrastructure, including approximately 78,000 miles of pipelines and 136 terminals transporting and handling natural gas, petroleum products, chemicals, carbon dioxide, and other materials.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain mechanical and auxiliary equipment used in gas pipeline operations.
• Perform heavy maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines, compressors, prime movers, pumps, and auxiliary units.
• Assess engine and compressor components and complete maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify and help correct safety and environmental concerns while complying with operational, regulatory, and tariff requirements.
• Document maintenance activities, order and receive replacement parts, complete timesheets and expense accounts, and maintain a company vehicle.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours calls, work overtime, and travel overnight away from the reporting location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining reciprocating or centrifugal compressor units.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to read company procedures, Operations and Maintenance manuals, and blueprints; basic computer and mathematics skills are required.
• Ability to work onsite in Texas, travel overnight up to 50% of the time, work overtime and schedule changes, and respond to call-outs.

Nice to have

• Experience with turbine engines, natural gas compressors, auxiliary engines, refinery, manufacturing, railroad, pipeline, or military maintenance.
• Knowledge of Waukesha 7044, Caterpillar 3500, Cooper/Clark/Worthington, Ariel, Ingersoll HOS, or Ingersoll HHE compressor systems.
• Caterpillar G3600 Master Mechanic Certification.

• Typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, ten hours per day.
