Logistics Specialist I (Aerospace)

Location: Dayton, OH, United States; office or hybrid environment, with travel as needed.

What you will do

• Prepare and document logistics materials, including spares, tools, equipment, repair parts, and manuals.
• Coordinate and track shipping routes while ensuring compliance with state, federal, global, and import/export regulations.
• Maintain accurate logistics, equipment, and inventory records.
• Support the allocation and organization of storage facilities.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely material delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of logistics regulations and basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, work on foot for most of the shift, and work in a loud environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience with logistics software, inventory databases, shipping databases, or aviation maintenance tracking systems such as AvPro.
• HazMat training or certification and forklift operation experience.
• Knowledge of inventory, supply chain, logistics principles, and shelf life.
• Aerospace and defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. military background.
