Director, Accounting Global Process Owner

What you will do

• Advise the Chief Accounting Officer and senior finance leaders on global accounting strategy, governance, technology capabilities, and controls.
• Develop a multiyear global accounting strategy and translate it into a prioritized portfolio of enterprise initiatives.
• Design future-state technology-enabled accounting processes involving automation, workflow, analytics, data governance, and controls.
• Partner with Finance Technology, Internal Audit, SOX, and accounting leaders to manage risks, regulatory readiness, and control effectiveness.
• Lead organizational adoption, stakeholder alignment, capability development, and continuous improvement across global accounting.
• Define enterprise KPIs and communicate performance, risks, investment needs, and realized value to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, finance transformation, shared services, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex, enterprise-wide accounting or finance strategies in a global organization.
• Deep expertise in accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, process governance, and end-to-end process design.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary initiatives and influencing senior leaders across organizational, functional, and geographic boundaries.
• Ability to develop business cases, prioritize strategic portfolios, apply technology and automation, and measure business, control, and operational outcomes.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Public company and SOX experience.
• Experience in complex global manufacturing, shared services, Global Business Services, or Centers of Excellence.
• Experience with major finance or ERP transformation programs, acquisition integration, or significant organizational transformation.
• Participation in professional forums, industry groups, benchmarking networks, or work involving emerging technologies in accounting operations.
