Director, Finance Transformation – Record to Report (SAP S/4HANA)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; full-time onsite role with approximately 20% travel. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $180,500–$248,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Lead the Finance workstream for the company-wide SAP S/4HANA transformation covering the Record-to-Report process chain.
• Design future-state processes for close and consolidation, reporting, intercompany, tax, product costing, revenue recognition, treasury, fixed assets, and leases.
• Translate Finance and Controllership priorities into solution requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process designs, and release plans.
• Design embedded controls, segregation of duties, SOX and ICFR coverage, audit-ready documentation, and technical accounting processes.
• Drive Finance automation, data governance, AI and machine-learning use cases, and integration with complementary finance platforms.
• Manage program governance, testing, cutover, hypercare, system integrators, executive reporting, change adoption, and transformation-team development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, CA, or CMA are preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in finance transformation, ERP-enabled transformation, finance processes, or controls.
• Experience owning a Finance workstream through design, build, testing, and go-live on a full-scope SAP, S/4HANA, or major ERP transformation.
• Deep Record-to-Report expertise, including close and consolidation, reporting, intercompany, product costing, reconciliation, and at least one adjacent process chain.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA, SOX, ICFR, ASC 606, ASC 842, finance automation, data governance, and control requirements.
• Must work onsite in Santa Clara, California, United States; relocation is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with BlackLine, HighRadius, OpenText VIM, SAP RAR, and planning or consolidation platforms.
• Background in semiconductor, advanced technology, capital equipment, industrial, manufacturing, or other complex global industries.
• Familiarity with Global Process Owner models, clean-core governance, shared services, and centers of excellence.
