System Modeling Engineer (SSD)

Salary: USD 128,960–201,500 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software models for enterprise SSD systems.
• Provide forward-looking insights for SSD development and productization.
• Assess deployed and future systems against potential and existing customer requirements.
• Analyze large datasets and model system behavior to support business and engineering decisions.
• Collaborate within the Datacenter Engineering organization using development and project-tracking ecosystems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Experience with ecosystems such as Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluent.
• Proven data analysis skills and strong written and oral presentation skills.
• Experience with agentic coding or AI-assisted development.
• Experience with NAND-based SSDs and data center or enterprise systems.

Nice to have

• SystemC or behavioral modeling experience.
• Experience building large behavioral models of SSDs.
• Experience analyzing large datasets.
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques for modeled data.
