Memory Care Director

Location: On-site in Tuckahoe, New York, United States

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead daily Memory Care services, programming, personal care, activities, outings, and dining experiences.
• Supervise Memory Care associates, including hiring, training, coaching, evaluation, and counseling.
• Schedule staff for 24/7 service delivery and monitor labor hours against the budget.
• Manage the departmental budget and support budget analysis and controls with the Executive Director.
• Partner with Health & Wellness leadership on resident assessments, care plans, and care plan meetings.
• Coordinate family involvement, respond proactively to challenging behaviors, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Requirements

• Prior experience and knowledge caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification as required by the state.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to learn new applications.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and other physical activities.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds and support residents using proper body mechanics.
• A related degree in nursing, social services, or therapeutic recreation is preferred.

• Certified Dementia Care Practitioner certification.
• Specialized certification in Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
