Manager; AI Engineering

Salary: $147,760–$240,110 per year

What you will do

• Lead and develop a software engineering team responsible for AI agents and AI tooling.
• Set technical strategy, architecture, and execution for cloud-native AI solutions.
• Oversee the design, deployment, operation, and production support of AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and supporting services.
• Partner with product owners, architects, data scientists, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled capabilities.
• Establish standards for coding, testing, security, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Manage release planning, resource allocation, risk management, coaching, mentoring, and team development.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and developing engineering talent.
• Deep knowledge of modern software engineering, architecture, distributed cloud-native applications, and design patterns.
• Experience establishing testing strategies, observability standards, monitoring practices, incident management, and reliability processes.
• Experience with AI assistants, digital copilots, autonomous agents, or AI-powered business applications.
• Knowledge of LLMs, RAG architecture, tool calling, prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and AI evaluation.
• Experience with major cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, platform operations, and Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, or open-source foundation models.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps and strong knowledge of Agile development.
