Accounting Manager (Medtech)

Location: Remote in the United States, working Pacific hours; expected travel.

Salary: $140,080–$156,560 or $157,590–$176,130 annually, depending on tier.

What you will do

• Set costing methodology, standard costs, cost rolls, purchase price variances, and landed-cost policies.
• Own landed-cost accounting, including duties, tariffs, freight, brokerage, accruals, true-ups, and allocation between inventory and cost of sales.
• Manage inventory valuation, excess and obsolete reserves, reconciliations, cycle counts, cutoffs, and audit confirmations across contract manufacturers, 3PLs, and marketplaces.
• Run procure-to-pay controls from purchase orders through vendor governance, three-way matching, payment runs, disbursements, and AP close.
• Lead the COGS close and gross-margin analysis across hardware and subscription revenue in partnership with FP&A.
• Design inventory, cost, and procure-to-pay controls that withstand SOX and external-audit scrutiny.

Requirements

• 7+ years of cost, inventory, or manufacturing accounting experience in hardware, medical devices, electronics, or another inventory-intensive product environment.
• Hands-on experience with landed cost, inventory valuation, inventory close, accounts payable operations, vendor master controls, three-way matching, payment runs, and AP close.
• Experience supporting external-audit testing of inventory valuation and reserves under US GAAP, including defending accounting positions.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to manage ambiguous cross-system reconciliations and present conclusions to Finance leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be based in the United States and work Pacific hours.

• NetSuite, customs and import, 3PL or e-commerce operations, AP automation, SOX, or experience building processes in a high-growth or pre-IPO company.
